ULU TEMBURONG NATIONAL PARK

Ulu Temburong is Brunei first National park. It has been protected since 1991 and preserved for scientific research and low impact Eco-tourism. Due to its remote location, there are few visitors and the journey itself is an adventure!

It begins with 45-minutes water taxi ride from Bandar Seri Begawan;  waving through a network of narrow mangrove channels into Temburong District and to the small riverside town of Bangar.

From Bangar a vehicle will take you to Batang Duri, about 17 km away, where your will join the Temburong river. From here you will travel upstream through the rapids of the Sungai Temburong in a traditional Iban longboat or Temuai, to the national park. 

If the water level is low the guests are expected to get out and help to push the boat up the shallow rapids. Having signed in at the entrance to the Park you can explore several kilometres of wooden  boardwalks through superb primary rainforest. 

There is a 65-metre long and 80 metres high canopy walkway which guests can climb to get a closer look at life in the treetops with spectacular views of the surrounding area. Lunch will be provided at the riverside. We will proceed for a swim at a waterfall (if water level permitting) or else we will take a boat ride down stream and return to Bandar Seri Begawan.

07:45  Meeting point at the Jalan Residency                        

          Temburong water taxi Jetty (Bandar

08:00 Boat depart BSB to Bangar

         (Temburong District)

         approximately 45minutes boat journey

                                            
0845  Proceed to local restaurant for morning tea

09:10  Depart Bangar by Van/Coach to Batang Duri
           jetty

09:30 Arrive Batang Duri terminal precede

         with traditional long boat (Temuai)

         for Ulu Temburong National Park

       * Register at park head quarters
       * Guided board walk to canopy, flora

          fauna brief by local guide
       * Lunch at riverside (Halal Food)
       * We will proceed to waterfall
         (water permitting)
       * Walk to waterfall (mind your step
           please) and Swim,relax or simply enjoy the
           nature  

(That's me wear yellow shirt, i bring them to waterfall and we all have relaxing there while a small fish (minnows) bite our feet:)) fish spa!!)

What to wear or bring:

Wear something comfortable i.e. tracksuit, shoes that are able to get wet and SWIM WEAR, Dont forget your insect repellent, binoculars, camera and spare battery for your camera
